PENGARUH KONFLIK KELUARGA -PEKERJAAN, TEKANAN KELUARGA TERHADAP KEPUASAAN KELUARGA DENGAN KEPUASAAN KERJA SEBAGAI MEDIATOR (STUDI PADA PERGURUAN TINGGI SWASTA DI SURAKARTA)

Abstract


An employee who works out of home mus t seek for satisfaction in his work. Likewise,
as a member of a family, he also needs satisfaction in his home.Work satisfaction, family
satisfaction and its factors that affect the satisfaction were something that was inter esting to
be investigated. This thesis explores the influence between work satisfaction, family
satisfaction,work tension and family -work conflik.
This research uses faculty members of private university in Surakarta as samples. The
sampling method utilized in this research was purposive sampling that means that the
respondents chosen were married lectures or have minimum one child.
The purpose of this research was to test previous researches as had been done by
Frone, Russel and Cooper.
Quantitative analysis (to test hypothesis) uses Structural Equation Model with Amos
4.01 program. Validity test uses Product Moment Pearson, and Reliability test uses Cronbach
Alpha to test questioner in this research.
The result proves that the family - tension has positip effect (0, 167)) on family
satisfaction and significant; family -work conflict has negative effect ( -0,707) on work
satisfaction, significant at 0,01; has positive effect on work satisfaction to family satisfaction
and significant. The research result base d on total model test that were hypotheses were
acceptable., because there were some variables that were significant on work satisfaction and
family satisfaction.
