Abstract
Pertumbuhan Penduduk dan Konsumsi energi listrik memainkan peran penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi dan menjadi faktor penting yang menopang kesejahteraan rakyat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kausalitas antara, konsumsi listrik, pertumbuhan penduduk terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Variabel dependen dari penelitian ini adalah Pertumbuhan Ekonomi. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini Pertumbuhan Penduduk dan variabel mediasi Konsumsi Energi. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi sobel test. Uji ini digunakan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan melalui suatu variabel mediasi secara signifikan. Data yang digunakan dalam paper ini adalah data dari tahun 2019 hingga 2021 yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik. Hasil dari paper ini menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara variabel Pertumbuhan Penduduk dan Konsumsi Energi, sedangkan variabel Konsumsi Energi dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Memiliki hubungan negatif serta tidak signifikan. Hasil Uji Sobel menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara Pertumbuhan penduduk terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dimediasi oleh konsumsi energi.
